Traditional clothing
Hyderabad is home to some of the most historical good looking clothes. Its rich cotton production, with its innovative plant dye extraction history stand next to its diamond mining,due to which Hyderabad's clothes are so attractive. Women in the olden days used to mostly wear saris i this region,but not presently. There are many other traditional dresses which Nizams and Qutb Shahi's used to wear. Most of the design of the dresses in Hyderabad is to feel comfortable for the climate in Hyderabad. There are many clothes of ancient Hyderabad. They are:
Sherwani
This is one of the popular dress from the historical Hyderabad. It is worn by kings in the past and presently for the wedding. Sherwani is worn over the Kurta with the combination of a Churidar, a Dhoti, a pajama or a shalwar as a lower-body clothing.
Burqa
Its is a traditional dress worn by Muslim Hyderabad .Burqa is an enveloping outer garment worn by women in some Islamic traditions to cover their bodies when in public. The face-veiling portion is usually a rectangular piece of semi-transparent cloth with its top edge attached to a portion of the head-scarf so that the veil hangs down covering the face and can be turned up if the woman wants.
Salwaar kameez
Salwaar kameez is a traditional outfit originating in Indian subcontinent. It is a generic term used to describe different styles of dress.The shalwar kameez can be worn by both men and women, but styles differ by gender.
